Origami: Barking Dog

Origami Dog

Take a square piece of paper, preferably white on one side and coloured - brown, yellow or black would be nice - on the other.

Follow the directions below to fold this cute little dog.

1. Start with a square sheet of paper and fold it diagonally. 2. Fold the left and right corners into the centre as shown above and then mountain fold along the centre.
 2. Fold the left and right corners into the centre as shown above and then mountain fold along the centre. 3. Fold the corner up to make your paper looks like this.

4.Now fold the left corner up,

 5. crease it 6. and return.

Repeat steps 3 to 6 on the other side.
Open the paper.

7. Mountain fold the diagonal at the back and valley fold the creases you just made.

 8. Your dog now looks like this. 9. Fold the triangle towards you to get the shape in 10.

10a. Your “dog” now looks like this. 10b. Repeat the fold to the back. Open the paper!

11. Mountain fold the two diamond shaped fields – they become the head of your “dog”.
12. Your dog now looks like this.

13. Fold the tip of the “nose” to the back of the head …

14. … and then back to the front. 15. Reverse the folds and push inside the head; fold over the tip of the nose. 16. Mountain and valley fold the tail as indicated.

17. You “dog” is complete!
Hold it between your fingers at X and pull its tail while making barking sounds.
